Design

Designing your sight is accomplished from a combination of text and graphics. If you have text (copy) that you would like us to use, either from a brochure, flyer or electronic document, we can get off to a quick start. Fluidwebz can also create copy for you at our regular hourly rate.

 

The graphics can be a combination of many different elements. Your company logo can be scanned and used as a "cornerstone" to your website, effectively creating a "corporate identity" with each page a viewer visits. Don't have a logo? Let us create one for you, which you can then use for your letterhead, business cards, newspaper & Yellow Pages advertising, etc.

Other graphic elements can include photographs that you supply, scanned images, line drawings, illustrations, etc. Whatever is relevant and communicates your company's message can be used.
We can also create custom graphics to give your sight a consistent "theme" or look. Color plays a big part in this as well, and is instrumental in making your website look like a single, flowing document, instead of alot of un-related pages that are linked together.

 

Navigation

Simple text navigation is easy and effective to guide a viewer through the pages of your site. This can just consist of "links", or can be created as "rollovers" which change appearance as the mouse cursor passes over them (as you see on the bottom of each page).

But a "navigation interface" (an example is in the upper left corner) can be created with graphics and animation to create a more engaging (and fun!) way to lead visitors through your site. Additional attention to detail is conveyed to the viewer, giving them the feeling of professionalism about your business.

Remember, your website will attract people who have never heard of you before, and you don't get a second chance to make a first impression.

Animation

Another way to make your site memorable, so that visitors will enjoy their experience and hopefully mention it to other's, is to include animation. We're not talking about gratuitous cartooning, but something that's professional and relevant. An example of this can be seen by clicking here with our logo.

 

Flash

More and more websights are employing Flash movies for a slick, professional look that people will remember. Although Flash does require your visitors' to have the Flash "plug-in" installed to view this content, 96% of the online population already has it (Source: Macromedia, maker of Macromedia Flash). As exciting and motion filled as Flash movies are, the files are extremely small, meaning fast download times so that your viewers don't have to wait to see them. For an example, click here.
