My initial consultation is Free.
We want you to be happy with with your Web site, so we will spend the time with you to develop a Web presence that will be effective.
Design proposal/agreement/cost estimate Our next step is to take home the notes from our meeting
and go through them to see if we have enough information to write
up a design proposal/agreement with a cost estimate. We will then write up a design proposal/agreement/cost
estimate to review with you. This can be from one to several pages,
depending on the size of your site. The actual price may need to be
adjusted slightly up or down from the cost estimate, as work on your
site progresses. This can be due to changes that you have requested
in the original design, including new design elements, additional
(or less) content, etc. But we are very careful not to "surprise"
a client with a higher cost than expected. Your proposal will also
include a "Site Organization Model" drawing, a flowchart
which shows the pages that will be included, their basic content,
and how they will link together. We ask that the design proposal/agreement be signed
by you and Fluidwebz; its purpose is to be sure we are more or less
"on the same page" in regard to the essential plans and
cost estimate for the project.
For projects that take longer than one month, and for ongoing work, we invoice for hours spent at the end of each month.
The actual design and production process The design process is a collaboration between both of us; the amount of involvement you have is really dependent upon your own preference. At the very least, you will need to provide us with the necessary content for the site - text, logos, and other graphic elements. (However, we can create or provide graphic images as well, including taking photographs if desired; we also write or co-write or edit text copy when requested.) Most small business web sites take between a few days
and a month to complete, although there are often ongoing improvements
and additions. When the site is deemed ready for publication by both
of us, the files are sent to the host server and the site is "live".
At that point, I will submit the URL to 8-10 of the most important
search engines so that it will (in time) be indexed by them. |
